The American decline in driving actually began way earlier than you think

Tim GarceauResearch by Geography Ph.D. candidate Timothy Garceau shows that driving rates in the U.S. hit a peak more than a decade ago.  Tim recently presented a poster at the Transportation Research Board’s annual meeting in Washington DC and his research caught the eye of a Washington Post blogger Emily Badger.
